The Winterbotham Darby Animal Health and Welfare conference in Bristol in March was well-attended by over 100 representatives of the food industry, including the major retailers, accreditation bodies and NGOs, followed by a dinner in the evening. Victoria gave a short presentation on the challenges facing the feed industry, explaining the difficulties of replacing soya and palm products in feed, and enjoyed a range of presentations from Newcastle and Bristol Universities and SRUC on current animal welfare research. Ryan also attended the conference to display the Herbaboost trial and how it can reduce the use of coccidiostats in calf feed. Thankyou to everyone at Winterbotham Darby for an excellent event.
